Honda Repair: 1993 Accord low engine temperature, temperature problem, cold mornings

Question
Bill, I have a 1993 Accord with 145K miles. The car registers a low enging temp on very cold mornings while driving. When I stop, the guage will register the temp back to normal. It will register normal temp settings during warm days. The heater blows warm air despite the low readings on cold days. The radiator was replaced a year ago, but I cannot say the problem began then.

Answer
Greg:
You will need to replace the thermostat. Most likely this should fix your problem, if not you probably have a bad water pump. The thermostat is easy and inexpensive to replace, that is usually where I start when I have a temperature problem.
