Chrysler Repair: Car wont start, chrysler town, alternator

Question
I have a 1998 Chrysler Town & County minivan, 3.8 litre.  I have replaced the starter, which was not the problem.  As of now, the vehicle will not start.  The (new) battery drains after driving for only a little while (less than 2 miles).  I have lights, radio and so forth when the battery is completly charged but the battery will not stay charged.  The alternator has been tested and according to the read-out is working properly.  All fuses have been checked and the wiring as well.  I am at a total loss.  I am hoping it is something you can help with.
