Honda Repair: squeaking brakes, squeaking brakes, rough winter

    Bill, I have a2003 Honda accord with a little under 20,000 miles. Since the rough winter we just had, I've noticed the squeaking noise more and more when applying the brakes. The dealership said it was kind of normal and that they would check it out for free. What should/could I do if after they check it out and don't find anything abnormal. By the way, the squeak level of noise is slightly loud and very annoying.

When the pads wear down there is a squeaker that alerts you to have the pads replaced, but with only 20K miles that seems unusual unless you do a lot of city driving. I think when they check them out they will find something because brakes should not squeak that much.
