Honda Repair: possible engine problem, noticeable problem, honda civic

Question
My wife accidentaly put diesel fuel on our 04 honda civic. What we did was sipon off the rest of the diesel and replace the fuel with the right one. It had a hard time starting  at first but it eventually started and I was able to drive it around the neighborhood without any noticeable problem. My question is will the diesel fuel do any harm to any system in the car and do I need to bring it to a mechanic to make sure nothing was damage?

Answer
Leonardo:
I'm not sure how much damage you may have done, if any. Did you remove all the fuel from the tank when you siphoned it off? I would change the fuel filter and continue to fill the tank when it gets to about half, make sure the car performs okay.
Good luck
