Honda Repair: intermit. cold weather stalling problem, winter weather, cold weather

Hey Ryan;

I've got an '87 carbureted 2.0 liter 5 speed Accord with 200K miles thats runs great except for a cold weather intermit stalling problem.

It only seems to happen in Winter weather- 30 to 50 degrees- during the first mile after morning start up. I'll be driving along and the engine just dies- no warning- as if the ignition stops working. There's no way to restart it- the starter turns over but it just won't fire. If I wait for about 2 minutes the car starts normally and I'm fine. It doesn't happen very often maybe 3 or 4 times each Winter.
I've noticed if I warm the car up for 3 minutes I don't have any stalling problems.

Any ideas?

As with all carb'ed cars you wanna let them warm up to build up your oil pressure and all.  If it doesnet happen when its warm it is probally just the fact the the block is cold and oil is gummy/sticky till it warms up.  But if it DOES happen when its warm you might wanna check your ignition switch. Let me know if i can be of anymore help...BTW just let it warm up its better for the engine! LOL
