Honda Repair: oil in spark plugs, valve distributor, leak oil

Question
I have a '92 Honda Accord LX, automatic 4 cylinder sedan with approx. 189,000 miles.  While doing a tune up at home, I found that my #1, #3, & #4 spark plugs were covered with oil.  When I started the car after replacing the spark plugs, wires, pcv valve, distributor cap & rotor, the engine started smoking.  Within seconds, the garage was full of smoke.  What could be causing this, and is it worth fixing given the age of the car?

Answer
Kay,
The problem with your car is the spark plug tube o-rings. They sit under the rocker arm assembly. They dry out and leak oil over time into the spark plug tube. When you removed the plugs, the oil dripped down into the cylinder. When you started the car, the smoke you saw was the oil burning.
It is not a very big job to do for a trained technician. May cost you around $250. I would get it done if you have the money. If you let it go, the oil will swell up your plug wires and ruin them. There is $60 in costs alone. (for Honda wires) You may even cause a running problem if left un-attended. The oil will cause a misfire and you car will not run correctly.
Thanks for the question,
