Answer
Hi, Paula.

If you're replacing the entire antenna, you'll need to remove the inside cover from the left side of the trunk.  If this is a fixed-mast antenna, remove the mast.  Then, unbolt and unplug the antenna and remove from the trunk.  Install the new antenna so that the drain (if present) runs through the hose through the hole in the bottom of the left side of the trunk.

If you're replacing an electric antenna mast, unscrew the 12mm nut at the top of the antenna base, turn the radio on, and pull the mast out of the assembly as it's fed out by the motor.  Then, feed the plastic part of the new antenna mast down into the motor through the hole.  It should snap into the motor.  Turn the radio back off for the antenna to get fed down into the motor.  In some cases, this may be difficult and you may need to apply pressure as the motor is running after the radio is turned off to get the motor to grab the mast.  In other cases, part of the old antenna mast may break of inside the antenna motor, requiring you to remove the entire antenna assembly using the instructions above and disassemble it to get the old piece out.  Once the antenna mast is fed into the antenna assembly, install the 12mm nut.  Lastly, turn the radio on, wait for the antenna to go all the way up, turn the radio back off, and wait for the antenna to go all the way down.  The antenna should now raise and lower properly.
