Hyundai Repair: CLTCH JOB, technical service manuals, mechanic shops

Question
IT IT A LOT TO DO AS A BACKYARD MECHANI A CLUTCH REPLACEMENT JOB IN A 99 ACCENT HYUNDAI?

Answer
HI Raymond,
I'm not sure. I signed up on this website as an auto paint expert and am only a bit of a back yard mechanic myself. I do not know why folks keep asking me mechanic questions. I would try to find a book showing clutch procedure before i tried anything like that, perhaps in local library.  Sometimes the librarian can borrow a book from another city's library for you. In some of these cars, the motor needs pulled loose to get clutch out  and there are the rules to be followed for hydraulic clutch assembly which i know nothing about.  Another place i try to get as much free information i can is from the hyundai service writer.  Sometime even the parts department guy, if he is not busy, knows a bunch.

In previous web travels i saw a website address offering hyundai technical service manuals for free viewing but failed to write down that web address.  Still kicking myself in the ass over that. If you find it please do forward it on back to me.

I know there are places online that you can pay to view such service manuals.  Most mechanic shops pay to subscribe to them, perhaps you have a buddy in the business who will let you print the clutch procedure off his mechanic shop computer.

Lastly if i didn't have a nice concrete slab to safely do this operation on and a lock up at night to keep out the bandits, i wouldn't attempt it.
