Hyundai Repair: Hyundai Accent Check Engine Ligth, hyundai accent, immobilizer system

Question
Hyundai Accent 1,3 l fuel injection, 1995 mod. CHECK ENGINE light comes on "exactly" after "2 km", normal engine temperature reached, engine continues to run correctly. After another "1 km" CHECK ENGINE light goes OFF, and engine stops after a few 100 meters. Starts easily again immediately. Fuel pump is OK.

Answer
While I'm not familiar with the 1.3 engine, anytime you have a check engine lamp, it's usually easiest to start with reading the diagnostic trouble codes.  If there's no place where you live that will do this for free, you'll need to find a local shop to to the car to to have it diagnosed.

Since the lamp comes on after exactly 2km, I suspect this may be tied to the immobilizer system.
