Hyundai Repair: no fire to plugs, hyundai accent, crank sensor

Question
i have no power to plugs (2000 Hyundai accent 1.5L)the 2 coils (the 2 where i plug wires connect to.) i have 12 volts going in but when i crank engine no spark goes to plugs .wires are new.

Answer
The ground side if the ignition coil is controlled by your engine control module (ECM).  It needs to see a proper signal from the crank sensor to provide spark.  As long as your check engine lamp comes on for at least a few seconds when you turn the key to the "on" position, it's likely that the crank sensor is the culprit.
