Hyundai Repair: brake bleeding sequences, bleeding brakes, master cylinder

Just got a call from father-in-law having trouble bleeding brakes on 2005 Hyundai (model unknown). Is there a specific sequence he should be following?

Answer
It's general practice to start with the farthest wheel and work toward the master cylinder (r/r - l/r - r/f - l/f), but any sequence should work.  

What work has your father-in-law done/why does he need to bleed the brakes?  Depending on the situation, there may be additional steps that will help the procedure.
