Hyundai Repair: flasher, fuse box, turn signals

Question
My turn signals and hazards dont work and I checked the fuse now I think its the flasher bur I couldn't find and either could the mechanic? Do you know where it is. It is a 2000 tiburon.

Answer
The fuses in question are fuses 4 and 9 in the interior fuse box.  Both are 10A fuses.  One is the fourth one down in the left column and the other is the top one in the right column.

The flasher unit is located in the relay center behind the left side of the dash in front of the engine control module.  You'll need to get under the dash and then look up to see it.

You should also check the hazard switch as this can cause the turn signals and hazards to not work.  If they start working after cycling the switch a few times, replace the switch.  If not, you're left with trial and error or electrical testing.  You can view the schematic in the ETM section at www.hmaservice.com.  You'll need to register for a free account, and the site requires Internet Explorer.
