Hyundai Repair: 2000 Elantra wont start, slow blow fuse, fuel pump relay

Question
Fuel pump doesn't seem to be working replaced with new one it still doesn't work. Can you tell me the location of the fuel pump fuse and relay, cant seem to find either one.  If I run a jumper wire to pump it works properly.

Answer
The fuel pump is powered by a 20A slow blow fuse in the underhood fuse box that also powers the engine control module (ECM).  It's the second one from the front in the row of fuses running from front to rear.

The fuel pump relay is located in the passenger compartment relay center, which is located behind the left side of the dash in front of the ECM.

Your fuel pump relay is controlled by the ECM, so one of the first checks to make is to determine whether the Check Engine lamp illuminates when you turn the ignition key to the "on" position.  If it doesn't, you should suspect a problem with either the ECM receiving power or ground, or the ECM itself.
