Hyundai Repair: Hyundai Elantra 2002, illumination lamps, hyundai elantra

Question
We have a Hyundai Elantra 2002 sedan which was purchased in Australia in 2004. Q. Tail light doesn't work, globe looks good & brakelight works. Need to get passenger side tail light working so can be seen at night. Some one indicated that there was a fuse located somewhere that could be at fault? Any help greatfully received.

Answer
A blown fuse is one possibility.  If none of the exterior illumination lamps work on the passenger side, you should expect that one of your tail lamp fuses is blown.  If the other illumination lamps on that side are still working, you should primarily suspect that the bulb in the lamp in question has one bad filament of the two, causing the brake lamp to work but the tail lamp to not work.
