Hyundai Repair: 1997 Hyundai Sonata GL V6 timing belt tensioner, factory shop manuals, hyundai sonata

Question
Just wondering how tough a job this is to do?  I'm sure the timing belt should be
replaced at the same time...  I have done a timing belt on a 4 cyl Nissan but have
never worked on a Hyundai

Answer
Your car has the Mitsubishi 3.0 Liter V6.  It's been a long time since I've worked on one of those.  But I don't remember anything abnormally difficult about replacing the timing belt or tensioner.  If I recall correctly, the tensioner is a spring-loaded pulley.

I'd recommend registering for a free account at www.hmaservice.com.  You'll be able to view the factory shop manuals there.
