Hyundai Repair: HYUNDAI 2001, spark plug wires, engine cranks

MY SONS CAR WAS RUNNING ROUGH , AND A FRIEND WHO IS A MECHANIC , CAME AND CHARGED THE PLUGS , NOW THE CAR IS NOT STARTING, IT WANTS TO START BUT MISFIRES AND SHUDDERS , WHAT COULD THE PROBLEM BE MY SON DOES NOT HAVE A LOT OF CASH , AND NOW WE CANT GET IT TO THE MECHANIC , ANY SUGGESTIONS, COULD IT BE THE LEADS ?????

The spark plug wires are indeed one potential issue, but there are many possibilities.  Anytime the engine cranks but will not start, you'll want to determine the nature of the problem.  The most frequent issue types are:
1.  No spark.
2.  Insufficient fuel pressure.
3.  Broken/stripped timing belt.
Once we know the type of problem causing the vehicle not to start, we can then begin investigating the things that will cause that type of problem.
