Hyundai Repair: Santa fe 2003, mile warranty, inadequate protection

Hello, My airbag light on my 2003 stays on all the time now, it has 52,000 miles on it, any help would be great.
Im on a budget so a dealer scares me right now!

Unfortunately, there's not much help to offer without knowing the diagnostic trouble code from the air bag system.  Chances are, you'll need to go to the dealer for the diagnosis.

The good news, however, is that you're still within the 5 year/60,000 mile warranty period.  Unless your problem is due to collision, the likelihood of the repair being warrantable is very good.

You should take your car in to have it checked soon.  Since the air bag warning lamp is on, it's likely that all or part of the air bag and seat belt pretensioner system has been disabled.  This could cause inadequate protection in the event of a crash.
