Nissan Repair: 1995 Nissan Quest, fuel pressure gauge, nissan quest gxe

Question
My 1995 Nissan Quest GXE (3.0 liter) stalled on me at a stop light. The weather had been in the low 30's for a few days. My low engine oil light had come on prior to the stalling, and I had just topped the oil off and driven not quite a hundred yards when it stalled. The engine would turn over but it would not start. I let it set over night. It stareted the next morning and ran for a couple min. and then stalled. It cranked and would not start. The fuel pressure is where it should be. I have also replaced the fuel filter, the spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor(It was over due a tune up). On the first warm day we had it started an ran beutifully for 2 days(I'm not sure what I did to make it run, it just started and ran great!). It stalled out on me as I rounded a corner. I do have spark, (It is orange colored). I have fuel pressure. As I try to start it, it will run for a few minutes and stall. On occassion as I try to start it, it will back fire. When it does it will leak oil from the air filter, and will crank but not start. I have replaced the pcv valve since then. It ran for around 5 min. and stalled.
I have run a vaccuhm diagnostic which is telling me I have a healthy engine (back on the day it started and ran well. I am rapidly running out of ideas. What am I missing?

Answer
LaVor,

It could be as simple as a crack in the intake hose form the air meter to the throttle body.  Also, hook up a fuel pressure gauge to see if the pressure drops off when the car stalls.  If yours has a distributor you could have an optics problem with oil on the pickup.  That could cause the problem too.  And, you would still show spark.  Only problem is at the wrong time.  To check this take the cap and rotor off and the rotor post and the cover under it and look at the optical wheel for signs of oil.  Oill will screw up the timing leading to stalling, backfire and the engine cutting out.
