Hyundai Repair: Radio Broken, slow blow fuse, fuse boxes

Question
2005 Elantra- My battery died and I got a new one, but now the radio doesn't work.  How do I turn it on?

Answer
Start by checking fuses 9 (right end of top row) and 25 (right end of bottom row) in the dash fuse box.  One of them may be blown.

If jumper cables are hooked up backward or the battery is connected backward, several fuses will typically blow.  If you even suspect just a little that such a scenario may have occurred, you should check *all* the fuses in the underhood and inside fuse boxes, especially the 120A main slow blow fuse in the underhood fuse box.

If all the fuses are okay and the radio still doesn't work, you should probably take the car to be checked.  The warranty on the radio is 3 years/36,000 miles, whichever comes first, and the warranty on the wiring in the vehicle is 5 years/60,000 miles.
