Hyundai Repair: scanners, obd ii code reader, obd ii code

03-Elantra-with 95756 miles on it the warranty is over on car. can you tell me which scanner i can pick-up to help me with my car if anything go wrong with it. One that not to much money , easy to use.plus any if i can buy off-line.     thanks Bob

I don't have much experience with aftermarket scanners and code-readers, so you'll probably need to do some in-store research.  You might also try to nose around to see if you can find some online information.  

I doubt you'll be able to find a good scanner in a reasonable price range, but you should be able to locate a reasonably priced code-reader.  Any generic OBD-II code reader should work on your Elantra.  

I've seen code readers for sale in Sears and local auto parts places, so you may wish to ask the salespeople there for input.
