Hyundai Repair: clutch, clutch, accent

Question
i have a 2001 aceent and i need to replace the clutch is there a way to do it without pulling the engine out???

Answer
When I replace a clutch in a 2000 or newer Accent, I usually remove the subframe.  To do this, you'll need something to hold up the engine.

I've also heard of this being done by taking the transmission loose and moving it away from the engine far enough to just squeeze between and take the clutch out.  But without removing the subframe, there won't be enough room to get the transmission fully out of the vehicle.  You'll need a device to hold up the engine in this scenario as well.
