Hyundai Repair: removal of factory fitted radio, hyundai lantra, rheostat

Question
Hi, I have a 1998 hyundai lantra 1.6 glsi manual which has a hyundai standard factory fitted radio in it.  I need to remove the radio but have not got a clue how to.  I have been told there are some screws behind the facia but I do not know how to get it off.  Do you have any suggestions.  Thanks  Mike

Answer
Remove the shift knob.  Then remove the trim around the shifter.  Pry out the rheostat (dimmer switch).  Remove the screws from behind the rheostat and the shifter bezel.  Take the heater cables loose from the heater box.  The trim should then pull out from the dash.  The radio is held in by four screws.
