Hyundai Repair: Intake Air Temperature Sensor / Plug Location, hyundai webtech, intake air temperature sensor

Question
Hello, I own a 2003 Santa Fe GLS, AWD, 3.5 v6.  I was looking at the engine without the engine cover installed.  I know where the MAF is located, but was wondering where is the Intake Air Temperature Sensor and the electrical connection point that sends the information to the ECU?  Just curious to know how things work and I can't find any useful diagrams on the Hyundai Webtech site.

Thanks for your help.

Answer
The air temperature sensor is part of the MAF on this vehicle.

Because the 3.5 was released late in the 2003 production run, there is often no information available for this engine in the 2003 manuals.  If you cannot find the information you need in the 2003 manual, try the manual for 2004.  In this case, I needed to do that to see the schematic for the fuel management system.

Also, the schematics are an excellent place to find useful diagrams and pictures on the website.  In most cases, there's a link at the bottom of the schematic that says "component location index."  In your case, there's a separate link for each engine.  After following that link, click on the component you wish to see, and it'll bring up a picture.
