Can you tell me where the transmision filter on a 2004 Hyunda Sante Fe is? I called the dealer and they told me it was in the transmision pan but it isn't.

Answer
The 2004 Santa Fe transmission doesn't have a serviceable filter.  There's one deep inside the transmission, but the transmission needs to be removed and disassembled to get to it.  The only time that filter would be replaced is if the transmission were overhauled.
