Hi, my car has been acting up since last week.  I'll be driving along and suddenly, it's not getting gas (IMO). Put the accelerator to the floor and nothing!  Kills on me, then I wait a few minutes to start back up.  This has happened on and off over the last week.  I've taken it to two mechanics (currently at Hyundai service) and they can't recreate what I say is happening when test driving it.  Troubleshoot away!  Thanks!

It sure sounds consistent with a fuel pump failure.  Typically, it'll only happen after long periods of driving, and when it occurs, the more you depress the accelerator, the less power you get until it just won't drive or stay running anymore.  

If you're amenable, perhaps request to have one of the service technicians who lives a reasonable distance away drive the vehicle overnight for a couple days.
