Hyundai Repair: 2005 Sonata fog lights, 2005 hyundai sonata, hyundai sonata

Question
Hello - both fog lights in the lower bumper cover of my 2005 Hyundai Sonata are out, and I would like to attempt to replace them.  It almost looks as though the front cover of the light assembly could be pried off with a screw driver to get at the bulb behind the lens, but I'm afraid that if that's not how to get at the bulb that I would not get be able to get the front back on to stay.  I can't find anything about fog light replacement in the owner's manual other than the type of bulb, and am hoping replacement is not so involved that it has to be done from behind the bumper cover.     Many thanks for your help.

Answer
Unfortunately, the fog lamp is accessed from behind the bumper cover.  If you're familiar with how the lamps are made, you can probably take the cover off the back of the lamp and pull the bulb out with some contortion.  But if you need to actually see what you're doing, you'll probably need to take the front portion of the fender splash shield loose and crane your neck pretty hard to see up in there.

The cover on the back of the lamp is about two inches in diameter, and will pull off after it is twisted counter-clockwise.  Then, unplug the bulb, twist it counter-clockwise and pull out.

If you're not afraid of getting a little dirty laying on your back, you might want to give it a try yourself.  Everything comes apart fairly easily.  As long as you don't pull hard on anything, it'd be difficult to mess something up.  If the thought of laying on the ground makes you a little uncomfortable, you should probably have someone else do it.
