Hyundai Repair: IGNITION COIL, starter relay, constant power

Question
HT. IS IT POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO SHOW ME THE COLOR CODED DIAGRAM FOR THE IGNITION COIL WIRING. ALSO
IS THERE AN EASY WAY TO TEST A STARTER RELAY FOR AN 1989 HUNDAI EXCEL. BOTH QUESTIONS ARE FOR THE SAME VEHICLE.

Answer
Unfortunately, I don't have a wiring diagram for Excels older than 1990, so I cannot tell you the wire coloring.  What I can tell you is that one wire is constant power and the other wire applies intermittent ground for spark to occur.

To test the starter relay, jump a wire from the positive terminal of the battery to the starter relay terminal.  If the relay doesn't click, it is defective.  If the relay clicks but the starter doesn't turn, the problem is with either the relay (possibly burned contacts) or the starter motor itself.
