Hyundai Repair: Front Brake Rotors Stuck on 2000 Elantra, hyundai elantra, wheel hub

Question
In trying to do a front brake job on a 2000 Hyundai Elantra I cannot for the life of me seem to remove the front rotors.  I took of the calipers and then the two screws that held the rotor in place I drilled out since I didn't think they were necessary and had no other way of getting them off.  After all this I hammered on the rotors trying to remove them and they just won't budge.  Am I missing something, or should I try some other method of removing the rotors?  Also any other tid bits on replacing the front brakes would also be helpful.  Thanks for your help.

Answer
You're approaching this in the right manner.  If you haven't already damaged the rotors, they'll probably be damaged by the time you get them off.  It's time to grab some new ones if you haven't done so already.  The problem is that the inside diameter of the rotor is very nearly the same as the outside diameter of the wheel hub.  Over time, the rotors rust on and become very stubborn.  In the most severe cases, I've needed to use my 4 pound hammer in full swing to remove the rotors.
