Hyundai Repair: Wiper Trouble, wd 40, elantra

Question
I have a 2001 Elantra and my wipers slow down to the point where they eventually freeze.  A few religious squirts of WD-40 where the arms attach to the car keeps them functional, but I'm tried of have to live with my WD-40.  I had this problem last year and shelled out $100 to have them "cleaned and lubed" and they worked like a dream until about two months ago.  After doing some research, I thought it may be an issue of the bushing (not that I'm 100% sure what that is) becoming corroded and dry.  My problem is that, I've gotten a lot of good advice (the bushing, check the linkage, etc.) that seems easy enough to do and save myself $100, but I can't locate any diagrams.  My question is two-part:

1.  Would a simple hour or two of polishing parts and lubing them up solve my wiper problem?

2.  Where can I locate detailed diagrams so I know what parts I'm taking off and how they go back on again?

Please help this eager (newbie) do-it-yourselfer!

Answer
It sounds like the linkage is shot. The best resourse for the repair procedures is in the Hyundai Shop manual. Somewhat pricey. You may be able to access the info at a local parts store that sells manuals or possibly the library. But realistically, it will be less expensive to just have the dealer replace the part and be done with it.
Hope this helps
