Isuzu Repair: Dash lights??? No heater???? Rear window heater?, vacuum lines, isuzu trooper

Question
Help me??? Jumped in my 89 2.6 petrol isuzu trooper, started OK but Petrol and Battery lights stayed on (plenty of petrol!!), heater/blower stopped working along with the rear windscreen heater. Once the engine is warm it idles at about 2300 rpm, whilst driving feels like it has a "flatspot". overun when i turned it off???!!!

Answer
I would start by having your charging and starting system checked Andy. Alot of problems can come from a bad voltage regulator. Also for the idling problem that is most likely bad intake gaskets/ vacuum lines and or a bad TPS. I would chekc your fuses and relays to see if any are blown which would indicate a short in your system as well. Let me know what you think:)
