Isuzu Repair: Audio problem, ashtray, glove box

Question
After installing a new battery, my stereo no longer has power.  How can I fix this? Also, how does the panel covering the screws to the radio come off?

If I can remember the glove box and the ashtray have alot to do with it Garrison. Also if it is a newer type of radio it could be locked and woule need to be unlocked to function. Or a fuse or relay could be blown. The actual wooden dash piece though is just held in by snapping tabs and a good gentle but precisely firm pull will allow it to come off.
