Isuzu Repair: tcc operation, excessive torque, winter drive

Question
QUESTION: Hi Daniel. 93 rodeo with 3.2 and 4L30 trans. No faults in module. Datastream looks as it should. Problem: no tcc applied until half or better throttle and only remains in lock-up as long as throttle is half or better. Once I hit cruising speed, I back off of throttle= lock-up disengages.

ANSWER: Well is there any other trouble or does it only do it at half throttle as you say? we need to cancel out some possibilities to find the culprit okay David?

QUESTION: Once in a great while it will flash the check trans light and it would start from stops in 3rd, but I figured that to be the power/winter switch. I notice when it does that though that the winter drive indicator does not come on. Nor does the power indicator if I actuate the power switch. The trans shifts great. The lock-up is solid and without hesitation. I just want it in lock-up at cruising speed (55mph or higher) and where I have to maintain half throttle or more to keep it in lock-up it just keeps accelerating. I can put it in or out of lock-up at will with throttle position. I'm beginning to think that there might be a prob with the tcc driver in the module. Thanks for your attention Daniel.

Answer
Well the winter switch is only for speeds under 10 miles and hour Daivd. As for the power mode that is only intended for short periods where excessive torque is needed like for passing or something. As for the lock-up it could be a bad solenoid in the transmission or just low on oil or a dirty filter as well. Although let me look into ALLDATA a bit and I will see what I can find okay?
