Isuzu Repair: 98 Isuzu Rodeo, fuel pressure regulator, isuzu rodeo

I have a 98 rodeo and have had it for 4 years never have had a problem, HOWEVER a couple of months ago i went out to leave and went to start the thing and it started then shut down, i thought i was low on fuel and got it going enough to get to the gas station but it kept doing it, now what happens is that it starts revs really high goes down again and then when i go to drive if i push in the clutch to stop or just coast it stalls out and i have to start it again i have been reading what is being asked but im not sure if it is the same thing??  Not only do i have this problem but the check engine light comes on all the time now and yes i know they are related PLEASE HELP!!!

Well Autozone checks and diagnosis CEL lights for free although I would think your fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator could be the culprit. ALthough If I knew the code I could tell you exactly what is wrong with it. Have you done a fuel pressure check on it or checked the vacuum on it?
