Isuzu Repair: 1994 Rodeo acceleration problem, throttle linkage, highway speed

Question
My 94 Rodeo has been a fantastic car but lately when going down the highway at speeds of 60+ or trying to accelerate up to highway speed, it misses and stutters alot.  So much so that I am afraid to drive it now.  It has over 217,000 original miles on it.  I have had it for many years and it has never failed me before.  What should I do?

Answer
check your fuel system, fuel filter, spark plugs, plug wires(if equipped) get it flushed and inspected. Check your throttle linkage. The missing is an indication of it being out of time maybe. I would check the fluid level and condition of the transmission being serviced as well. Keeping up on preventitive maintenace makes a car go 5-10 times longer than it should. If you have any questions though please feel free to ask okay?
