Isuzu Repair: 97 Rodeo wont start, jumper wire, clutch pedal

Question
My Rodeo is a V6 w/ manual transmission. I removed the clutch start switch under the dashboard and tested it for continuity. Sometimes ok other times not. So I ran a jumper wire connecting the two spade terminals in the plug (bypassing the switch). Same problems. Will start sometimes after repeated attempts and clutch pedal pumps. Is ther another switch I should check?
Any help is appreciated.
Tom

Answer
There is an ignition relay under the dash Tom that might need to be replaced if I am not mistaken. Also is your fuel pump working properly as well as your fuel system?Starter possibly going out? Although if this is not right let me know and we will go from here.
