Isuzu Repair: 2001 Isuzu Starter Replacement, negative battery cable, exhaust components

Where is the starter. Is this a difficult repair for DIY

Answer
It is not difficult Art. Just raise the vehicle on jackstands. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Then unbolt the heat-shield on the starter(starter on driver side of the motor) You might have to remove some exhaust components and the flywheel cover then the starter is held in by two bolts. It should then slowly slide out from underneath the motor. Then disconnect the positive connection and the small wire attached as well. Installation is the reverse of removal!
