Isuzu Repair: 2002 isuzu rodeo, solenoid starter, starter solenoid

Question
QUESTION: I have no voltage at starter leg in fuse box under hood. The car will not start with key but Ican start by putting voltage to starter leg.

ANSWER: Bad realy it sounds like. I would have the relay tested(sounds bad though). Also check all connections on your starter and your battery cables for any stiffness. Your obviously not getting voltage from the starter relay to the starter itself.

QUESTION: changed relay all connections and battery cables are good

ANSWER: Well is there voltage going from the ignition switch to the fuse box, but then not to the starter? It could be a bad starter solenoid/starter. Have you checked all wiring and connection running to the fuse box very thoroughly? Don't worry we will figure it out!!! Also is your ignition switch the culprit???

QUESTION: voltage from switch to box good starter tested good solenoid wire has continuity just no voltage on solenoidwire from box to solenoid otherwise starter has voltage at large terminal. thanx

Answer
Well that tells you the wire running to the solenoid is either has a break in it somewhere, or the solenoid is bad. It happens all the time on G.M. starters. They will test fine and  then they don't work. I would recommend a manual for a full wiring schematic as well. I do know that Rodoe's have MAJOR MAJOR electrical issues. If you touch with a wire to the relay to the small terminal on the starter and it fires your starter is defintaely bad though. I will do some research on the internet and try to find something ok?
