QuestionQUESTION: I bought a 93 trooper with a 5-speed tranny. not running
from auction.
Engine starts every time when clutch is depressed.
slowly release pedel and whtch RPM start to drop...
Top of pedel travel and vehicle stalls -dead.
this with no vehicle movement of any kind.
vehicle will also stall in neutral and any gear as pedel is released.
Slight grinding/scraping coming from under vehicle.
Fully shifts into any selected gear but the darn thing always dies.Bearing or fused tranny.any rodeo swaps? year?
ANSWER: Hello Richard. Well, before we go any farther, I would recommend a car swap. Isuzu Troopers and Rodeo's are big money pits. Although you can swap your manual tranny for an automatic if desired. I will search around on the internet for some good deals for you ok? we will get you goin in no time ok?

Since rodeos and troopers have the same 3.2LTR engine ,is a swap possible?

AnswerThe 5-speed swap is possible it looks like, but at a high price Richard. Your looking at right about 1,300.00 for a complete transmission. Have you thought about having the other one rebuilt? I have a rebuilt transmission and it performs flawlessly everday and it has a 3 year warranty. Although A good place to look is at Ebay.com or Orielly's. please don't worry Richard we will get you goin ok?
