Isuzu Repair: 2000 Isuzu Check Engine light, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

Question
After a cold night my car wouldn't start. My husband cleaned the battery cable line and it started. But, the engine keeps idling high/low(fluctuating) and the check engine light blinks each time it rev's up high. He replaced 02 sensor already. What could be the problem? Help please.

Answer
Hello Kim!. Well It sounds like a throttle positioning sensor. An intake manifolfd gasket leak, A vacuum line hose is unplugged, or your Mass Air flow sensor is at fault(not likely); or your throttle body is plugged up with alot of carbon, as well as your Egr valve could be stuck open due to carbon build-up as well. Start with the simple one then go to complex, we will figure it out. I dont want you to have to spend money you don't have to. Heck! Maybe you'll save some and can go out to eat!lol
