Jaguar Repair: IT IS A 87 JAG SERIES 111 4.2LITRE, inertia switch, haynes manual

Question
SORRY ABOUT NOT TELLING  YOU ABOUT THE CAR.
ONCE AGAIN IT IS THE FUEL PUMP NO POWER TO THE PUMP.
WHICH WIRE IS IT THAT LEADS TO THE SWITCH....AND HOW DO I KNOW IF THE RELAY IS NOT WORKING....
THANKS,
ELBERT

Answer
I hope that you have a manual. There is an inertia switch which is located on the passenger
side inside the car. If the car is in an accident it will shut off the fuel pump. You may have to reset it. The diagram is on page 276 of the Haynes manual. The ignition switch supply voltage to fuel pump relay and it supply voltage to inertia switch and it supply voltage to the change over switch and it supply voltage to the fuel pump. You must check voltage at each of these points. I hope this helps. You must get a manual if you do not have one. Sam
