I AM HAVING PROBLEM WITH MY WIPERS.THEY WORK FROM UNDER THE HOOD
BUT FROM FIREWALL HARNESS TO WHERE THAT HARNESS CONNECTS TO THE
WIPER SWITCH HARNESS I GET A POSITIVE ON THE GREEN/BLACK TRACER
WIRE ONLY.IF THIS HELPS 4.2 LITRE.NOTIE..ALL THE WIRES WORK FROM THE MOTOR.THE GROUND WIRE THAT COMES FROM THE HARNESS FROM THE
FIREWALL IS DISCONNECTED I DO NOT KNOW WHERE IT GOES.

ANSWER: Hi Elbert,
The light green w/black tracer wire is the washer pump and is not connected to the wipers.
The #6 fuse in the main panel supplies power to the wiper switch and the switch supplies power to the wiper motor. The wiper motor has no power except that supplied by the wiper switch.
The #6 fuse is powered by the ignition switch in position #1 & #2 via the load relay.
How did you test run the wiper from under the hood?

QUESTION: HOWARD:
I TOOK 2 JUMPER WIRES RUN ONE FROM THE NEGITIVE GROUND OFF THE BATTERY
TO THE GREEN WIRE W/BLACKTRACER TOGETHER. TOO POSITIVE POST WITH THE OTHER JUMPER AND TOUCH THE PINK AND THE OTHER TWO. ONE AT A TIME.
ONE IT WOULD RUN FAST THE OTHER IT WOULD RUN SLOW. AND ONE MORE IT WOULD RUN. THESE WIRES CAME STRAIGHT FROM THE MOTOR OR WHERE YOU TAKE THE HARNESS LOOSE FROM FROM THE FIREWALL AND RUN THE JUMPERS OFF THAT HARNESS THAT GOES TO THE MOTOR.THE MOTOR WORKS FINE THAT WAY.BUT WHEN I
CONNECT IT BACK TO THE FIREWALL. AND FROM THE FIREWALL TO THE WIPER SWITCH HARNESS NO POWER GOT POWER AT THE FUSE...ALSO THAT GROUND WIRE COMING OUT OF THAT SAME HARNESS IS NOT CONNECTED.

AnswerThe wiper motor is grounded close to the firewall plug on the passenger side. (black wire).
There should be no green w/black tracer wire connected to the wiper motor. There is a black w/light green tracer that is the slow speed circuit for the wiper motor. The fast speed is the white w/light green.
If it works at the firewall then the same test at the wiper switch should do the same unless you have a break in the harness.
