Jaguar Repair: Mechanic for 1999 XJ8 in Nashville, TN, 1999 jaguar xj8, jaguar xj8

I am about to purchase a 1999 Jaguar XJ8 with 39,000 miles from a dealer in Nashville.  The car appears to be well-maintained and in very good condition (CarFax shows it passed its emissions inspections, and the dealer claims the former owner changed the oil every 2000 miles), but I am hesitating because I have read and heard of Jaguar's frequent and expensive maintenance issues, and wondering if I could find a knowledgeable and reliable mechanic in Nashville who would charge reasonable prices.  Any comments?

Owning a Jaguar is not a cheap proposition. You must have a lot of money or be

If you can afford the maintenance cost, buy the car. I love my Jaguars, however it cost to own a Jaguar, the parts are not cheap. Sam
