Jaguar Repair: 83 jaguar xj6 boot/trunk, jaguar xj6, door key

Question
I locked my boot/trunk and don't have a key to open it. What can I do?

Hi Lilas,
The door key is the same key on series III XJ-6, so just remove a door lock tumbler and take it to a locksmith and have another key made. If someone in the past has replaced the trunk lock assembly then you are faced with either drilling out the lock or get a locksmith to try to open it and make a new key.
