Jeep Repair: 94 grand cherokee security problems, jeep grand cherokee laredo, jeep grand cherokee

Question
hello i have a 1994 jeep grand cherokee laredo edition and im having problems with the security system. It seems that it just randomly arms and disarms when it wants preventing me from using vehicle because it has a ignition kill switch or somethin.at 1st i thought it was just an OEM security system that comes with jeep from factory and then i looked into it and apparently jeep didnt make a kill switvh in the oem security system. So i figured it was aftermarket. So i looked under the dash and sure enough there was some bulldog security box all hooked up.I had already grounded out the oem security system to the frame(as i read in car alarms section of this site how to do it)thinkin it would cancel out the bulldog thing but still same thing jeep starts and turns over but then somethin kills it instantly.

If you have any idea on how to fix this or take the whole system out or could even point me in the right direction to do either of those things id really appreciate it

Answer
Bulldog is known for their remote car starting systems. I bet its not an alarm but a remote start. and on those systems there is tons for things that will cause your truck to just shut off, like if you use the remote to start to jeep and then get in and hit the brake peddel it will kill the motor, and there is more, It is really easy to kill this system if you are getting tired of it. All you have to do if reach up to that box and disconnect the harness's from the bulldog box. there should be 3 of them, make sure to tape them up so they dont touch other wires and creat a spark.

If it is just doing things ramdomly ( but only when you are around) I would take a look at the key fob, Is any of the buttons stuck pressed down? is the battery low? These are things i would check. Hope this helps!
