Jeep Repair: jeep 2004 Grand cherokee columbia edition electrical, 2004 grand cherokee, fuse block

Question
The passenger side windowns and doors will not go down or lock.  What do I need to look at? I cant find a fuse that belongs to them.  Also my dimmer light will always be on unless i turn it all the way down and off.  So now all my radio and spedometer lights have to be turned off just so my overhead push lights will stay off.  Any help.  thanks

Answer
Hey Andrew,

I'm not that familiar with the Grand Cherokee, more the XJ but, there should be a fuse block under the hood. There may be power window, power seat, ac fuses in there. As far as the dome light check the pin switches in the doors to make sure one isn't shorted out. Some are mounted with a single Phillips head screw and they're easy to pull out. Try removing one at a time checking to see if the light goes out. Careful not to let the wire contacts touch metal or fall into the hole where the pin switch was that you removed. Wrap electrical tape around to separate the two contacts and to keep the wire from falling back in the hole. Let me know how it goes.
