Jeep Repair: leaking antifreeze?, jeep cherokee sport, jeep cherokee

QUESTION: how do i get down to where the antifreeze is leaking from? it's a 97 jeep cherokee sport. if your underneath looking it's mainly on the drivers side, all over the hoses and the belt thats on the transmission that's on that side and it almost looks like its coming from in between the belt and the transmission but im not sure. i need help finding where it's coming from. i wiped down the hoses and didn't see anymore coming out and i also heard it might be the water pump. in that case where is that located and how do i change it. sorry this is so long, i'm in need of help.

ANSWER: sorry I cant help with locating a leak over the internet. the tranny is behind the engine  not in front.  U should have some one pressure test it to locate the leak for sure with out guessing where it is at.

QUESTION: would it be the water pump? the radiator is still full of fluid, the only thing that leaked out was the overfill jug.

ANSWER: vary possible its the water pump any thing that has coolant going through it could be suspect of leaking.

QUESTION: sorry to keep asking you so many questions but i really want to fix this myself. could you possibly tell me all the parts that the coolant goes through that would be the problem and then tell me where these parts are and if you can tell if they're bad or not. or how much it would cost to just change all the parts so i know i get the right one? i'm sorry again i'm just a girl trying to learn from others on how to fix my own vehicle. i would appreciate any assistance you could give with my problem i'm having. thanks again...

My best advise with the issue u are in is to buy a service manual and read the procedures on replacing stuff. U are asking for a list of everything that can leak on a car  is way to much info. Plus if u dont know about cars most of the stuff I would nae u would not know what they are or where the are as well. Have some one pressure test it and tell u whats leaking then U can repair it yourself with the service manual.





FYI MY CRYSTAL BALL THAT TELLS ME WHAT IS LEAKING IS BROKE SO NO I CAN NOT  TELL U WHATS LEAKING ON A CAR THAT FIRST OF ALL I CANT EVEN SEE IT  SECOND, ALL U ARE DOING IS SAYING ITS LEAKING WHAT CAN IT BE  WHAT WILL IT TAKE TI FIX IT.  I AM NOT AN ALL SEEING SWAMMIE SORRY.
