Jeep Repair: replace fuel tank door, fule tank, jeep liberty

Car: Jeep liberty limited 2006, khaki
I forgot to close the outside fule tank door before took a car wash, and then it was broken by the machine.
I want to buy that part and paint and replace it by myself.
Can you tell me the brief steps /demos about how to replace it? Do I need to deal with screws inside?

REMOVAL



1 - FUEL FILL DOOR  
2 - HOUSING TABS  


Remove the fuel cap.
Remove the three screws connecting the fuel door/housing to the filler neck.
Reach in through the opening and depress the tabs (2) at the upper and bottom right of the door/housing.
Remove the fuel door/housing from the vehicle.
