Jeep Repair: Fan removal from 01 Wrangler 4.0L, fan blade assembly, drive pulley

Question
I am trying to change the water pump on my Jeep and need to remove the fan in order to get to the pump.  I am afraid the repair manual I am using has misled me.  I removed the 4 bolts attaching the drive pulley to the water pump per the manual, but I can not remove the fan. Have I made a mistake?  If so, what are the correct steps to remove the fan?

Answer
4.0L EngineThe thermal viscous fan drive/fan blade assembly is attached (threaded) to water pump hub shaft. Remove fan blade/viscous fan drive assembly from water pump by turning mounting nut counterclockwise as viewed from front. Threads on viscous fan drive are RIGHT HAND. Using a suitable fan wrench loosen the fan drive (Fan and Fan Drive - 4.0L Engine).
