Jeep Repair: 03 jeep grand cherokee-blend door actuator concern, jeep grand cherokee, coolant hoses

03 grand cherokee w/ manual heat-when cold out blend door actuator goes to middle position no matter what position control knob is, then will begin working normally. replaced blend door actuator but still does it and does it when actuator off blend door and plugged in, door moves smooth and free. any ideas?

temperature will have nothing to do with the pos of the blend air door  if it was auto temp control outside temp then it will move the door to what ever inside temp u have.
basically u are saying that u get little heat out the vents correct? Check the coolant hoses at teh fire wall see if they are both hot.
