Jeep Repair: steering box, pitman arm, power steering pump


Question
procedure for removing steering box on 1999 jeep wrangler with power steering.  saw on a jeep part site that sells a  a seal kit for the steering pump.  looks as if i will have to pull the bumper to access.

POWER STEERING GEAR
REMOVAL
Place the front wheels in the straight ahead position with the steering wheel centered.
Disconnect and cap the fluid hoses/tubes from power steering pump.
Remove the column coupler shaft from the gear.
Remove pitman arm from gear.
Remove the steering gear retaining bolts and remove the gear Steering Gear Mounting
Remove power steering hoses/tubes from steering gear
INSTALLATION
Install power steering hoses/tubes to steering gear and tighten to 28 N·m (21 ft. lbs.)
Install steering gear on the frame rail and tighten bolts to 95 N·m (70 ft. lbs.)
Align the column coupler shaft to steering gear and tighten coupler bolt.
Align and install the pitman arm and tighten nut to 251 N·m (185 ft. lbs.)
Install power steering hoses/tubes to power steering pump.
Fill power steering system to proper level, refer to Steering Pump Initial Operation
